Jacob Vanhorn, Pastor He is married to his lovely bride, Christie and has two really cool children, Caleb is 4 and Hannah is 2. They live in South Central Austin and are super excited to raise their children here and to call Austin home for the next 20-40+ years. Jacob also serves in the Austin community as: 1) Director of Love Austin, which is a non-profit initiative which partners with others to bring renewal to people and communities in Austin, 2) as the Community Sponsorship Director for the Let's Get to Work homeless jobs/housing initiative, 3) as a Big through Big Brother, Big Sister of Central Texas, 4) as the South Congress Soma Group leader and 5) as a South Austin Knight and a Defender of the Realm (you too can be a South Austin Knight by donating $20 to the South Austin Culture club. Jacob also serves with the Acts 29 Network Texas Region as the South Central Texas Zone Coordinator. In this role he helps to support church planting efforts in Austin, San Antonio, Waco, Bryan/College Station and all the way south to McAllen. |

Daniel Darnell, Director of Worship and Creative Arts Daniel moved to Austin in January 2010 to join the mission of Soma Austin in seeing the city of Austin redeemed and restored with the hope of Jesus. Before joining us at Soma Austin he was on staff at Collide Magazine, a church+media+technology magazine. Though he is a native Dallasite, he now calls Austin home.

Emily Bryant, Sunday Service Coordinator & Director of Connections Emily currently coordinates our Sunday Services and is the go-to person for connecting you to the Soma Community. She is also a valued disciple maker and a hilarious blogger:Plastic Cupcake. Outisde of Soma, Emily works full time in the Austin Tech Community supporting the CEO of Thinkwell Corporation. She is also an avid supporter and volunteer for various local theatre projects such as the Blue Theatre and Fusebox Festival. |
