Alamo Drafthouse
Yes, this might be the only church in Austin which has a page devoted to the Alamo Drafthouse. Why? Because the Alamo Drafthouse is perhaps the coolest venue in Austin! Scratch that. It is the coolest venue in Austin.*
We love the Alamo Drafthouse because they just seem to get it. They offer a great a product mixed with great food & service and variety to a diverse audience, and then they add in the value of building community within the city and the film culture. And the fried pickles are amazing!! You will win my respect and admiration if you buy me fried pickles from Alamo.
Checking out Alamo Drafthouse events is like a view into our community. You get to appreciate the variety in the city, learn more about others which leads to a greater understanding and you get to engage others in the rhythms of the city.
So check out the show times of their first run movies or the special offerings below, grab some friends and head over to the Alamo Drafthouse. Even if you pick a bad movie, you should have some good food and a good time.
Disclaimer
I think even the owners of Alamo would agree that you need to use discernment when checking out what Alamo has to offer. They intentionally have a very diverse lineup with something for nearly everyone.
