HACA Apartment Fire Victims Need Some Help

In addition to mentoring Communities in Schools kids who are at risk for drop out, Soma Austin also works with Smart Kids through a HACA (Housing Authority of City of Austin)/CIS program.

One of the HACA clients at Meadowbrook experienced an apartment fire recently and lost everything.  They have been placed in a new apartment but need some items.  Please see below and email Jami Herrera with CIS if you can help.

Family: Single mother with three high school children, two boys, one girl.

Items needed:

  • Toiletries and household items.
  • 2 Boys: Large shirts, Large (30/32) shorts/pants.
  • 1 Girl: Small shirts, Small (3) shorts/pants.
  • Mom: Large/XL Shirts, Size 14 pants
